You might consider taking megabus from Cleveland to Chicago. From what I've heard, nobody beats megabus prices, but they still have limited routes from Cleveland. Once in Chicago, you should be able to make other connections direct to Billings. Bus probably will be your cheapest option. http://www.megabus.com/us/ You also could use megabus to get from Chicago to Minneapolis, which probably has many better connections for Billings. Obviously, if you use megabus, you probably will have to put a little effort into making connections. Greyhound charges $164 for a round-trip with two-week advanced fare from Cleveland to Billings, and the estimated travel time is just over a day and a half each way. Greyhound charges $128 from Minneapolis to Billings for its two-week advance purchase, so my hunch is that if price is your only consideration, Greyhound will be tough to beat. http://www.greyhound.com/scripts/en/TicketCenter/step1.asp Booking a round-trip flight through priceline.com two weeks ahead produced an airfare of about $350 round-trip, which probably is hassle-free compared to your other options. Travelocity produced a similar fare and you can pick your flight. BOL!
